CoSSL goes Binless!
Desk Buddies:
Desk Recyclers have been ordered and we are coming for your office bins! It is hoped this will encourage more recycling as everyone will have to
segregate their rubbish into the recycling bins in the kitchen. It is also better for your overall health as it will encourage more movement during the day. It is all for the good - please still be our friends
For a reminder on what is recyclable please see (opens in a new window)here

Love Food, Hate Waste
Thursday 27th of April 3-4pm in D101 of the Newman Building
One third of the world's food is wasted (United Nations Food Agency). This seminar is being facilitated by the (opens in a new window)Rediscovery Centre and will discuss the idea of sustainable food, exploring the current impacts of the food industry, food production, and food waste. It will explore the concept of sustainability, the principles of sustainable food, looking at the impacts of consumer choice and examine how we, and industry experts, can provide solutions for the future of the food industry. It will be full of hints and tips on how participants can deal with their own food waste, and importantly will look at how to target this at a broader College level. Following this seminar a mechanism for eliminating food waste across the College of Social Sciences and Law will be introduced on a voluntary basis.
Refreshments will be provided. Please register your attendance by completing this (opens in a new window)form to ensure we have enough coffee and treats for everyone and to help avoid any food waste.
All staff and students are welcome
