UCD Rugby Club raises over €71,000 for Irish Cancer Society

UCD Rugby Football Club has raised an incredible €71,434.64 for the Irish Cancer Society during their annual Daffodil Day campaign.

The amount raised far surpasses their original goal of €30,000, and contributes to a now over €190,000 the club has raised for the charity in the last number of years.

Launched on February 25th, the official UCD RFC Daffodil Day took place on March 6th, accompanied by on-campus and online events, including a Pub Quiz and Raffle at the UCD Clubhouse, a Darts tournament, fitness challenges in the UCD Student Centre, and volunteers situated across campus to take donations. Subsequent events in the weeks that followed, such as the Daffodil Day Ladies' Luncheon and a gate collection at the UCD vs. Landsdowne FC also contributed to the fundraiser.

The club showed their gratitude to those who took part on their Instagram, saying 'A huge thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, and supported us along the way - your kindness and generosity will make a real difference."
