Dublin Bus
Please see more information about to Dublin Bus below, including the best routes to take around our beautiful and historic city!
UCD boasts excellent bus connections
You can find the UCD Bus Park located just a short walk from the Village Building. Here you can hop on the 39A bus, which will bring you directly in to the city centre. Alternatively you can hop on the 145 or 46A at the main entrance which will also bring you into the city centre.
The 46A will also bring you to Phoenix Park, the largest enclosed park in any European city - home to Dublin Zoo. Or if you want to catch a train to see some of the beautiful tourist sites Ireland has to offer, catch the 145 to Heuston Station.
Please note that you will need to pay with coins on Dublin Bus and they do not accept debit/credit cards or paper money.
Make sure you buy a Leap Card - these can be purchased in the UCD Centra and cost €5. You can top up these cards using the Leap Card App, available on Android and Apple devices. This allows you to tap on to all forms of public transport in Dublin for a cheaper fare, and is much more convenient than paying in coins.
Download the TFI - Transport for Ireland App from the App Store or Google Play Store for realtime updates on bus arrivals and to plan your route for where you want to go!
