The development of the UCD strategy in 2024 was a collaborative process that drew on the great ideas from every part of our community around the future direction for the University.

UCD faculty and staff, students and alumni were invited to share feedback or comments regarding their own perception of the University and what they would like to see from UCD in the years ahead

In addition to the Student and Campus Experience World Café, a student survey was issued in April, inviting anonymous input on key areas of the strategy as well as any other ideas or feedback.

College, School and Unit Engagements
College, School and Unit Engagements

The President, Vice-President for Strategy and External Engagement and members of the University Management Team met directly with College Executive Teams, leadership teams, as well as all schools, institutes, support units, and colleagues overseas. A selection of staff, students and representatives of the Governing Authority also completed 1-1 interviews with The Reputations Agency, who are assisted us in gathering stakeholder input.

External Engagements
External Engagements

A series of meetings are were held with key external stakeholders including government departments, employers, strategic partners, alumni and funding bodies.

These engagements were shared across UCD leadership with our external partner, The Reputations Agency, also assisting in some of the engagements.
