About this World Café
UCD has a beautiful campus with high quality facilities for students and staff. The student experience at UCD extends beyond the classroom to wide-ranging opportunities to participate in societies, clubs, student representation from the SU, volunteering in addition to the many less formal opportunities for engagement and development. The University seeks to further enhance and broaden the sense of belonging experienced by students and staff as a key underpinning to fulfilling potential and flourishing. Facilities to support both students and staff range between classroom and study spaces to recreational, sports, living and accommodation space, including new and refurbished facilities under development in Science 3, the Centre for Future Learning, the James Joyce Library, the Multi-Purpose Performance and Examination Centre, etc.
Questions:
- How should UCD articulate, develop and embed the concept of sense of belonging into its Strategy and implementing actions?
- How can the University support further engagement with students, recognising the very diverse experience and situation of students, whilst also enhancing connectedness of students to society?
- How can the University best support student needs with respect to finance, housing, mental health and well-being?
- What measures would add further life to experiences on UCD campuses?
- What should be the main priorities for future campus development?
