Postgraduate Research Students
UCD has more than 12,000 graduate students, making us No 1 in Ireland for graduate education. With almost 2,000 postgraduate research students (PhD and research masters), we are at the forefront of global knowledge and research studies that have real societal impact.
Undertaking a PhD or research masters helps you start or continue your research in a field you're passionate about. You can decide what you work on, how you work on it and how you get there, with support and guidance from a supervisor.
Your dedicated Postgraduate Research Student Adviser is here to ensure your time at UCD is as fulfilling and enjoyable as possible and to ensure the best outcomes for you. They can
- Provide support with personal, social and emotional issues
- Answer your questions about studying at UCD
- Advise on financial supports for your time as a student
- Help you to navigate UCD policies, procedures and services
If you want to meet in confidence, either in person or by Zoom, please email (opens in a new window)eamonn.mchugh@ucd.ie to arrange an appointment.
