FAQs

UniShare  is UCD's online tool for managing interactions with current and prospective students, alumni and staff.

Every student has their own UniShare profile. Each time we speak with you, we log the interaction on your UniShare profile and record any additional relevant information. We can then use this information to better assist you with any future queries that you might have.

UniShare also works as a communication tool between the Student Desk and other areas of UCD.

University College Dublin (“UCD”) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of personal data. We will only use your personal information when we have a legal basis to do so.

Furthermore, the Student Desk uses a queue manager system called Qminder. Qminder uses data anonymisation which is a process by which is a personal data is altered in such a way that a data subject can no longer be identified directly or indirectly.

Rua chatbot is designed to answer general queries. To keep your data safe, we ask that students don't tell Rua any personal info, for example: email address, mobile number, student number or full name. Conversations are regularly purged from Rua.

We use the performance snapshot to identify areas for improvement and we implement strategies to enhance service quality and efficiency.

This includes additional training for team members, process refinements, or adjustments to resource allocation to better meet customer needs.

Additionally, we regularly review the performance data to track progress and ensure continuous improvement in our service delivery to students and the wider UCD community.

You can use this form to submit feedback on your experience with the Student Desk Connector (contact form) as a method of communication between you and the Student Desk. It should only take approximately 1 - 2 minutes to complete.
