Get Involved

At UCD there are many opportunities to get involved with or initiate actions for sustainability.

There are numerous ways to engage with sustainability at UCD. These include funding opportunities, student societies and other opportunites for UCD staff and students.

Contact our team via (opens in a new window)vpsustainability@ucd.ie if you have suggestions, ideas, questions, sustainability initiatives to promote or updates, additions or corrections for the website or if you'd like to get involved, seek advice or work with us towards sustainability, for example as a research/education organisation, business, social enterprise, public sector body, charity, community group, NGO or individual.

Funding Opportunities

Two UCD Sustainability Seed Funding schemes were launched in March 2024 to support interdisciplinary collaboration to address sustainability challenges and to seed new sustainability initiatives.

Student Societies

There is a huge range of UCD student societies to get involved with. Those with particular relevance to sustainability include the UCD Sustainability Society (Sus Soc), the UCD Horticulture Society, the UCD Fair Fashion and the UCD One Health Society.

Our Affiliated Groups

UCD Sustainability works with a series of affiliated groups to further the sustainability agenda, including Green Campus, Smarter Travel, Sustainable Research Initiative, Sustainable Energy Community and Healthy UCD.
