UCD 'Bean Around' team finalists in prestigious Hult Prize

From 20,000 applicants worldwide, they are down to the final 16.
Today a team of students from UCD Lochlann Quinn School of Business head to London to compete in the global accelerator round of the(opens in a new window) Hult Prize with their company,(opens in a new window) Bean Around.
Bean Around creates sustainable exfoliating soaps and body scrubs made from 100% repurposed coffee grinds, all hand-crafted in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin.
The Hult Prize is the largest student-led social entrepreneurship competition in the world with the goal of encouraging students to create world-changing, sustainable businesses that are in line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Note: The Bean Around team was one of just six selected to progress to the (opens in a new window)Hult Prize Global Finals and the chance of receiving $1million investment in their company. Unfortunately they did not win on the night but we have no doubt they will continue to go from strength to strength!
