UCD is first Higher Education Institute in Ireland to sign CANIE Accord

University College Dublin recently became the first Higher Education Institution in Ireland to sign the CANIE Accord, marking a significant step forward in our commitment to sustainability.
The CANIE: Climate Action Network for International Educators Accord aims to mobilise the education community worldwide to take action against climate change and create sustainable practices within the sector.
CANIE’s vision is to strive for a carbon-neutral and climate-literate international education system by 2030.
Signatories are encouraged to commit to their highest feasible level of ambition to realise this vision, guided by a menu of practical actions.
We are delighted to be a signatory of the CANIE Accord and look forward to meeting our commitments.
