First global, carbon neutral conference in ICT for Sustainability slated for June in UCD

The first global conference on Information and Communication Technology for Sustainability (ICT4S) takes place in UCD, June 9th - 13th. 

The ICT4S 2025 conference intends to be carbon neutral, with hubs on all seven continents (including Antarctica) providing remote access via Zoom to the main conference at UCD.

It will bring together leading researchers in ICT for Sustainability with government and industry representatives with an interest in using, analysing, designing and deploying ICT for environmental and social sustainability. 

Keynote speakers include Prof Benno Wehlen (UNESCO Chair on Global Understanding for Sustainability), Prof Jon Summers (Scientific Lead, Data Centres at Research Institutes of Sweden) and Prof Nic Bidwell (Charles Darwin University, Australia, and Rhodes University, South Africa). 

Submissions are open for research papers, workshops and the doctoral symposium tracks on all aspects of ICT applied to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Accepted conference papers will be published in the IEEE ICT4S 2025 digital library.
