AI depictions of future Irish coastlines, a 3D model of a renewable powered college campus, unused peatlands reimagined as multifunctional ecosystems - UCD Landscape Architecture End of Year Show 2023/24 was as inspiring as it was innovative.
Congratulations to all of the students whose impressive work was on display and to their teachers and guides, chief among them Dr. Jörg Rekittke and Philip Doran.
Addressing the crowd, UCD's Vice President for Sustainability Professor Tasman Crowe said graduates of Landscape Architecture have the potential to play a larger part than most in progressing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
"From envisioning innovative landscapes rich in native biodiversity and capable of mitigating flood risk and heatwaves, to sourcing sustainable materials and putting positive community impact, human well-being and equitable access at the heart of what you do whenever possible."
