Medtech start-up Clia wins NovaUCD Sustainability Prize

Did you know that 80% of heart disease is preventable through lifestyle factors such as continuous exercise?

Our latest UCD Sustainability Future Leaders are physiotherapists and UCD research masters students Rory Lambe and Ben O'Grady, whose medtech start-up Clia is developing software-as-a-service which plugs into existing cardiac rehabilitation services.

Leveraging insights from wearable health data, Clia will provide structured exercise services and physiotherapy follow-up to prevent cardiac disease.

Clia won the €3,000 Tech Sustainability Prize sponsored by Terra Solar at the 2024 NovaUCD Student Enterprise Competition, an intensive 4-week accelerator programme for student entrepreneurs at University College Dublin.

Clia aligns with Sustainable Development Goals 10 (reduced inequalities) and 3 (good health and wellbeing).
