Microsoft Dreamspark

Get Microsoft Software for Free!

DreamSpark is a programme set up by Microsoft to provide students with software design and development tools at no charge.  DreamSpark was created to unlock students' creative potential to help them achieve academic and career success.  UCD students can now avail of this programme, providing instant access to powerful software applications.

    • Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition
    • SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition
    • Expression Studio

How do I access Dreamspark?

To begin downloading development software offered by Microsoft, you will need to go to the Dreamspark portal provided by Micromail.

In order to get this software from Microsoft at no charge, you will be asked to establish or verify your student status once every 12 months.  You will need to sign up using their UCD email address.  This offer is available exclusively for students - Microsoft does not extend this offer to faculty or staff.

Note: You must be at least 18 years old or have otherwise reached the age of majority in the place (province, state or country) where you live, or if not, your parent or legal guardian must accept the Microsoft DreamSpark software license terms on your behalf, in order for you to download and use the software.
