Assessment can often be a barrier in supporting diverse students or students from diverse backgrounds to succeed in your programme. Developing a systematic approach to assessment that is more inclusive requires dialogue and planning by the programme team. In addition, programme teams are often required to identify these assessment practices for quality assurance or programme review purposes.
This two-hour interactive in-person workshop is aimed at those involved in the designing and implementation of a UCD programme(s) or stage, with opportunities to also learn from each other’s experiences. It will explore how the ‘UCD Assessment for Inclusion Framework’ can be used to help plan assessment enhancements systematically across the programme, for example, diverse, scaffolded, flexible, authentic, manageable, empowering, transparent or culturally sensitive assessments.
Event facilitator: Assoc Prof Geraldine O'Neill
Audience: The Audience for this workshop is Academics, Programme Directors, Heads of Teaching & Learning, Associate Deans, VP’s for Teaching & Learning, Heads of School, Educational Technologists, stage co-ordinators, programme quality review staff
