Overview
Join us for the fourth of our informal discussions, part of the Teaching and Learning Conversations initiative, centred on the continually evolving field of Generative Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education. Our online group discussions provide an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to explore research and resources related to Generative AI.
This month we will be discussing the generative AI tools currently available to us through our UCD Connect accounts, namely Google Gemini & Notebook LM. We will use this paper to frame the discussions, so please read in advance:
- Imran, M., Almusharraf, N. Google Gemini as a next generation AI educational tool: a review of emerging educational technology. Smart Learn. Environ. 11, 22 (2024). https://doi.org/10.1186/s40561-024-00310-z
We have also asked our Students as Partners in Teaching and Learning to explore both tools, review them in the context of their own learning, and then join us in the conversation. We encourage you to come along and share your thoughts or experiences on using either of these tools.
The session will not be recorded, so it's an opportunity for open conversation! There is no booking required but you must use your UCD staff or student email address to log in to the recurring Zoom link for this series.
