The aim of this session is to support those new to teaching in Higher Education (in particular early career academics and those new to UCD), to develop skills to provide a learner-centred focus to their teaching.
On completion of this induction you should be able to:
- Identify and appraise a range of teaching, learning and assessment methods
- Demonstrate a critical understanding of some of the basic principles and practices of third level teaching and learning
- Apply the concept of universal design in the course of teaching
- Design an effective session for teaching undergraduates
