(opens in a new window)Creating Accessible Content with PowerPoint - Recording
When developing content for a blended learning approach it is important to consider the accessibility of the materials we develop. Universal Design for Learning (UDL) guidelines recommend offering multiple means of accessing the content we develop (e.g., tagged .pdf files, video, audio versions etc.) to all students so that they can choose the version which is best suited to their own learning preferences and abilities. While this can seem like a daunting task, many of the tools needed to develop these multiple means of access are integrated into a piece of software most of us use everyday for developing educational content - Microsoft PowerPoint. This webinar reviews the tools available in PowerPoint to help you develop accessible content that is well calibrated to a blended learning environment.
