Aisling joined UCD in April as part of the TellSoilBio Project. She is the main postdoctoral researcher and will conduct the field and lab work over the next two years. Aisling's background is in entomology and soil science, specifically focusing on soil fauna and microbiome analysis.

Tancredi is the second PI of the TellSoilBio Project. His expertise lie in soil microbial and animal biodiversity. He is the lead for Work Package 3 - to identify the best indicator taxa and the techniques to monitor them.

Prof. Zhang is Director of International Network for Environment and Health (INEH). He was the founding and former head of Ryan Institute GIS Centre. His main research interests are spatial analysis in environmental geochemistry, spatial outliers, hot spots and spatially varying relationships, spatio-temporal variation of heavy metals, soil organic carbon, soil nutrients, spatial associations between environmental determinants and diseases and in-field variation of soil quality and nutrients.

Yunfan is a PhD student based in the University of Galway, under the supervision of Prof Chaosheng Zhang. Yunfan is applying his knowledge of ArcGIS to create specific maps for the TellSoilBio project reflecting the hot spot analysis of the soil geochemical data. This is essential initially for our sampling design, but will again be used to map and examine soil biodiversity and geochemistry in parallel.
