Why not join a community of over 400 UCD colleagues who have completed the Digital Badge for Universal Design in Teaching & Learning? Over 4,000 individuals have completed this badge nationally across the tertiary sector. This badge will enhance your teaching, improve your students' learning experience and increase student engagement. Our Faculty Partnership Programme facilitates the rollout of this training in UCD.
This is a free(opens in a new window) introductory course on Universal Design for Learning for all those working in Higher and Further Education in Ireland. The Digital Badge provides teaching staff with a sustained opportunity to critically reflect on their teaching methods and make changes to the practice by embedding UDL.
Local rollouts will be organised in Spring 2025. Keep an eye on this webpage for further details.
The Digital Badge consists of:
- a 10-week programme; roughly 2.5 hrs of work per week
- 5 self-directed online modules and 3 recorded webinars
- 4 peer group meetings online or a half-day in-person workshop
- a Redesign Activity which is submitted and reviewed before the Digital Badge is awarded
The programme and content is work based and very practical. Participants will meet other colleagues from across the campus, learn about different contexts and disciplines, and share ideas and resources.
Please contact your faculty partner or (opens in a new window)universityforall@ucd.ie if you have any questions.
