Annual Staff Awards

The School of Veterinary Medicine held its Christmas Reception & Annual Staff Awards Ceremony on 13 December.  We had a wonderful turnout of colleagues, past and present, to mark the end of another successful year and to acknowledge the important contributions our staff make to the School.  The awards go a small way to recognising some of the outstanding work that's carried out in the School; staff in the School have the opportunity to nominate colleagues for the various awards categories. 

The staff award winners for 2019 (pictured below) are as follows:

• Rob Shiel (Small Animal Clinical Studies Section) - Excellence in Research
• Jay Bor Gahain, Catherine McCarney, Jane Brennan & Marie Tumilson (not pictured) (Veterinary Biosciences Section - Veterinary Anatomy Support Team) - Outstanding Contribution to Veterinary Education 
• Georgina Murphy (UCD Veterinary Hospital Anaesthesia Service) - Excellence in Clinical Service
• Brian Cloak (Veterinary Pathobiology Section) - Overall Contribution to the School Award
