Message from Professor Michael Doherty,
Dean & Head of School
Dear Colleagues,
Coiscéim an Choiligh – it’s that delightful time of the year with the noticeable ‘stretch in the evening’ and the lovely carpeting of snowdrops and daffodils. Saturday 11th was the night of the annual Vet Ball, and I was delighted to host colleagues and their partners at the Dean’s Table. It was a great event featuring Stetsons and Line-dancing! and a huge thanks goes out to Shauna Murphy and the whole Vet Soc Team. It is a time of great optimism for the School as we look forward to the completion of the AgTech-Herd Health Hub on UCD Lyons Farm and move onwards from the planning stage for the expansion of our Small Animal Hospital, which will include specialist suites for oncology as well as a small animal rehabilitation unit.
Very best wishes / le gach dea-ghuí,
Michael
