UCD Veterinary Hospital News
Update on UCD Veterinary Hospital Operations
Since 16 March, the UCD Veterinary Hospital has reduced appointments to urgent and emergency cases referred by primary veterinarians only. These measures have been put in place to ensure that seriously ill animals can be seen as soon as possible, whilst also allowing us to minimise traffic coming into the Hospital. Hygiene and social distancing measures have also been put in place in the Hospital for staff and clients, with clients given this information prior to arrival and asked to adhere to these measures as requested.
UCD Veterinary Hospital Clinical Director Rory Breathnach has expressed his sincere thanks to all of our colleagues who are providing such professional cover during this difficult time – clinicians, veterinary nurses and the administrative staff who are maintaining the front of house functions. The Clinical Director has also paid a special tribute to the staff of the UCDVH Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratories who have been maintaining such an excellent level of service under very difficult circumstances.
The level of service available in the UCD Veterinary Hospital may change as the current situation evolves. Further information and updates will be posted to the(opens in a new window) UCDVH Facebook page
