School of Veterinary Medicine Hosts Ambassador of Pakistan's Visit to UCD

The Ambassador of Pakistan to Ireland, H.E. Aisha Farooqui, visited UCD in November for an interactive session with Pakistani students currently studying here.  The visit was hosted by the UCD School of Veterinary Medicine and organised by Dr Muhammad Ijaz, Research Scientist at the School.

As part of the Mission's outreach and engagement efforts, the Ambassador participated in an interactive session with Pakistani students, researchers and faculty members at the School of Veterinary Medicine. The session was attended by the Dean & Head of School, Professor Rory Breathnach, Professor David Brayden, Professor of Advanced Drug Delivery, and Mr John Buckley, Director of the School of Veterinary Medicine Office.

In her remarks, the Ambassador congratulated new students on embarking on this important journey in their lives. She provided an overview of the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Ireland, highlighting the increasing number of Pakistani students choosing Ireland as their educational destination in recent years. She encouraged the students to take full advantage of the learning opportunities available to them in Ireland.

The Ambassador also assured students of the Embassy's full support and cooperation for any assistance or facilitation they may need during their time in Ireland. She also expressed her gratitude to the School of Veterinary Medicine and Dr Muhammad Ijaz for organising this successful interactive session.
