Dr Sourav Bhattacharjee Ranks Among Top 10 Researchers in UCD
Dr Sourav Bhattacharjee, Assistant Professor in the UCD School of Veterinary Medicine's Veterinary Biosciences Section, has been named the 10th most impactful researcher at UCD for 2024.
The prestigious global ranking of researchers, conducted by a group led by John Ioannidis at Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier BV, draws its results from bibliometric analysis of the Scopus database that contains information on more than nine million scientists. The global pool of research-active scientists are further classified into 22 scientific fields and 174 subfields.
The list for 2024 includes bibliometric data on almost 223,000 researchers. This ranking is based on a citation score or “c-score” that further reflects a composite measurement of citation indicators, including total citations, h-index, co-authorship, and a career-long impact.
This is the 5th time Dr Bhattacharjee has been included in the annual Top 2% Researchers list, but the first time he has made it into the top 10 researchers at UCD list. His rank in Ireland is 69, while his global rank is 18,846.
