'Bittersweet - The Rise of Diabetes' - 25 September 2018

'Bittersweet - The Rise of Diabetes' was screened at the Clinical Club on 25 September.  This half-hour documentary film follows the personal stories of young people who are living with diabetes and their daily struggle to manage it.  The documentary also focuses on the ground-breaking research in pharmacology and biomedical science being carried out by Professor David Brayden and his team here in the UCD School of Veterinary Medicine, where they are developing new ways of delivering insulin to the body.  The screening was followed by a Q&A session with Professor David Brayden & Marc Farrelly, Veterinary Biosciences Section.
