Andrew Sanders a visiting assistant professor in political science at Sam Houston State University and formerly the John Moore Newman Fellow in Diaspora, Conflict and Diplomacy at University College Dublin. A PhD Graduate of Queen's University Belfast, he has also worked in the history department at Seattle University. His current research focuses on the role of the United States in the Northern Ireland Peace Process.
He is the author of Inside the IRA: Dissident Republicans and the War for Legitimacy (Edinburgh University Press, 2011) and the co-author of Times of Troubles: Britain's War in Northern Ireland (Edinburgh University Press, 2012). He has published in a wide range of academic journals such as The Journal of Transatlantic Studies, Irish Political Studies and The British Journal of Politics and International Relations. He has also contributed work to the British Broadcasting Corporation, the Daily Telegraph and the Baltimore Sun.
