Getting to UCD
Before traveling to interview, check your invitation to ensure you have the right campus as UCD has facilities in Belfield, Blackrock and Kildare.
Belfield - The UCD Belfield campus is located four kilometers south of Dublin city centre. Despite its size, most buildings are no more than a 15-minute walk from the centre of campus.
Take an (opens in a new window)immersive 3D tour of the Belfield campus (opens myucd website).
Blackrock - Our historic and intimate campus is located in the seaside town of Blackrock, 10 km south of Dublin City Centre and just 3 km from the Belfield campus.
Visit the UCD Estate Services (opens in a new window)commuting website to view all the different transport options available for reaching either the Belfield or Blackrock campus.
Plan your journey
You will also find a (opens in a new window)journey planner and (opens in a new window)taxi fare estimator on the commuting website. If arriving by Taxi, take note of the campus entrance closest to your destination and keep in mind the information below in relation to traffic calming barriers on campus.
Parking in UCD
If you wish to drive to UCD please be aware that visitor pay and display parking is in effect and is limited during academic term time. Please visit the UCD Estates website to view information on charges and parking locations.
There are traffic calming barriers in place on the Belfield campus to prevent through traffic and make the campus safer for pedestrians and cyclists.
These barriers are in place from 7:00am to 10:30am and from 4:00pm to 7:30pm Monday to Friday all year round.
Please ensure you enter on campus via the correct gate to easily access your destination during the hours of operation of the traffic calming barriers.
