Peer mentoring is a fun and rewarding way to get involved in UCD while making a real difference! As a mentor, you’ll play a key role in welcoming new students and helping them to settle in. If you're selected, you’ll take part in mandatory training, where you’ll connect with fellow mentors from across the university and meet the supportive team that will guide you in your role.

The time commitment, when managed properly, will not distract from your own studies. You are required to:
- Attend training and Orientation days.
- Contact your mentees when they accept their place (before Orientation).
- Take them on a campus and library tour during Orientation
- Organise two group meeting with your mentees in the first trimester.
- Share extended orientation topics with your mentees (we send this to you) .
- Respond to individual requests from your mentees from time to time.
- Maintain contact with them until the start of trimester 2.
