Machine Learning for Image Processing
Machine learning is the scientific study of algorithms and statistical models that computer systems use in order to perform a specific task effectively without using explicit instructions, relying on patterns and inference instead. Machine learning has been used extensively in the area of imaging processing and its abilities make it an ideal candidate for the data created by PEAR. By using large amounts of this data, it would be possible to train algorithms for post image processing to a high degree of efficiency, allowing distortions and other unwanted effects of the optical system to be removed. By also expanding the system to include the machine learning models and further refining them for peak speeds it is possible to create a semi-live image processing tool.
