Designer health: Changing the built environment to tackle obesity
As physical inactivity plays a central role in the problem of obesity, the design of our cities, transport systems and buildings is central to tackling this major public health problem.
In association with the UCD Urban Institute, the UCD Institute of Sport and Health, and the UCD School of Physiotherapy and Performance Science, the UCD Institute of Food and Health will scientifically identify ways of scientifically re-designing our built environment to encourage increased physical activity.
