About Us
You can read about our humble beginnings on the "How It All Began" page which details the 2001 founding of UCD Juggling Society by three hopeful students with the aim of bringing the benefits of Circus to the University College Dublin community.
The Current Committee still endeavour to maintain the same sense of community and fun which the original Committee instilled all those years ago, but in more recent times have begun to concentrate on collaboration with various other college clubs and societies, playing a role in organising the annual Dublin Circus Festival, hosting and performing in Circus events such as Renegades and Fire Shows, and helping out during Orientation Week and various UCD-run events.
We aim to portray a sense of belonging with the rest of the Circus community, both in Ireland and abroad by attending conventions and other college's practice sessions. You can read more about these in our Calendar section. If you, in turn, would like to show your support for us by donating your old or unused props, feel free to donate them.
To help raise awareness of our society and to really give passers-by the sense that they can just pop in and join us, we hold our sessions in the Atrium of the Old Student Centre every Monday night of term. Our "How To Join" section details the ways in which you too can take the initiative and come join in the fun.
