Democracy and Inequality

Democracy and Inequality is a research cluster that examines the connections between democratic governance and various forms of social, economic, and political inequalities, in particular, the extent to which democratic institutions and policies can contribute to or mitigate disparities in wealth, power, and opportunities within societies. Research in this field delves into issues such as income inequality, political representation, access to education, and social mobility to understand the impact of democratic processes on shaping more equitable societies.
