Political Communication

Political Communication is a research cluster that studies the dynamic interplay between political information, media, and public opinion, in particular, how political messages are disseminated, received, and interpreted by individuals and society at large. Research in this area analyses the influence on political knowledge, attitudes, and behaviours of various communication channels such as traditional media and social media. At UCD, there are particular strengths in using large language models to explore huge datasets of political content.
