Democratic Theory
Democratic theory is a research cluster that explores the conceptual foundations and normative principles that underlie democratic societies, addressing questions related to political participation, representation, equality, and the protection of individual rights. At UCD, there are particular strengths in combining fundamental questions of democratic theory with empirical research.
